ROGERS, Minn. – For the first time, Blackfish Gear is in attendance at the ICAST expo in Orlando, Florida. This is a very large trade show for the fishing industry where the fishing world comes together each year to launch new products and connect with others in the industry. Blackfish Gear has a booth at the expo this year and has released multiple new products to the public as part of the show. These new products include new soft-shell items available now to the public, along with new rain suits and UPF items that will be released to the public soon. For Fall 2023, Blackfish Gear released a variety of new soft-shell items. The Blackfish soft-shell line has been a favorite for many anglers for wearing in cooler weather the past few years. These items feature ThermalSnare Technology and pair a premium interior fleece bonded with a windproof and weather-resistant outer layer; Thermal Snare traps your body’s heat inside the garment while setting up an unbreakable barrier against wind and cold. These items are perfect for wearing during the colder and windier days spent on the water and even the ice. New for Fall 2023 is multiple new versions of the popular Gale pullover, Zenith Jacket, Gale Vest, and more. Each item features a comfortable long nap fleece inner lining that is soft and traps heat inside the garment. Now available in various new colors and multiple designs featuring Prym1 camo patterns. These new soft-shell items are available now on the Blackfish Gear website and will be in stores this fall. Blackfish Gear has also officially announced two new rain suits at ICAST that will be released soon. These new rain suits both feature eVent fabric technology with billions of micropores built into the proprietary membrane that instantly works to vent water vapor (sweat) that builds up inside your apparel when you become active. These pores are small enough to keep larger water molecules out, providing 100% waterproof protection from the outside. This technology is found in other Blackfish rain suits and provides very high waterproof and breathability ratings, not often found in rain gear. The first new rain suit is the Zephyr Rain Pullover and Pant. This lightweight rain suit features 3-layer eVent DValpine technology, and it has a very high breathability rating of 20.8K while maintaining an extremely high waterproof rating of 20K. This lightweight rain pullover and pants are perfect for keeping nearby for any storm that might arise. The Zephyr Rain Pullover has many features that will keep you dry and comfortable on wet days spent on the water without restricting your movement. The other rain suit officially released at ICAST by Blackfish is the Rage Suit. The Rage Rain Suit by Blackfish Gear features eVent fabric with an excellent waterproof rating of 20K and a breathability rating of 26K for a rain suit! This suit will keep you dry from the outside and the inside by allowing your body to breathe. The Rage suit is 100% seam taped, and features YKK Aquaguard zippers, a Venturi vented hood to keep your hood on at fast speeds, and the bib features an articulated knee and adjustable waist for comfort. With multiple other features, this rain suit will be great for any anglers looking for a dependable suit that they can wear on the rainiest days without worrying about getting wet! The team at Blackfish also announced a handful of other UPF products that will officially be released in Spring 2024. These items include new UPF designs, UPF fishing pants, and more!
